New vaccination map shows gaps in aged care worker jab rollout by region

The vaccination rates of Aged Care workers by geographical area have been released by the Department of Health to the public to with the aim to increase transparency on the plagued sector’s vaccine rollout. The data highlights the significant disparities in the rollout of vaccines to aged care workers by regionĀ including staff vaccination rates in Blacktown aged care homes shown to be between 80-90% of staff vaccinated and other areas such as Dubbo far behind with between 60%-69% vaccinated.
Even with the amended deadline for all aged care workers to be vaccinated by September 17, over forty percent of aged care workers are still to receive their first jab.
