Viagogo to face ACCC after CHOICE Investigation
In March, Senator Nick Xenophon passed a motion through the Senate calling for legislative reform which would ban ticket scalping bots and better protect consumers. In that same month, consumer advocacy group CHOICE filed complaints to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) against ticket resale websites Viagogo and Ticketmaster Resale. As a result, the ACCC is taking action in the Federal Court against Viagogo, alleging the company broke Australian consumer law.
