Victoria Police Address Media Coverage Of “African Youth Gang Activity”

Victoria’s Acting Chief Commissioner of Police announced that the state had “an issue with overrepresentation by African youth in serious and violent offending as well as public disorder issues”. This comes following years of alleged offending and media coverage of alleged African gang activity and signals a backflip from Victoria Police, who have previously stated that they do “not accept for a minute that we do have gangs”.
