Video Counselling Improving Accessibility
Many individuals can find it difficult to access mental health resources, like counselling, especially if they are living in remote areas. To address this, 1800 RESPECT, Australia’s national sexual assault, domestic and family violence counselling service, launched a video call counselling service at the beginning of the month. Professor of Clinical Psychology at the Black Dog Institute, Jennie Hudson dropped by the Monday Daily to discuss the pros and cons of this new service, its accessibility, and the future of video call counselling in other mental health support services.
