A gaming community backlash over the new Star Wars video game has led to international inquiries into how the gaming industry is implementing gambling-like tactics to keep players addicted, using their own money for in-game progression. Authorities from Belgium, the US, Hawaii and Australia have begun to look into possible legislation to regulate the gambling features of these games.
