Video link – the flaws in the courtroom of the future
Video link is fast becoming a practice utilised in the courtroom, but what is it missing?
Experts and even defendants are being streamed in from locations outside the courtroom in an attempt to improve efficiency and lessen the inconvenience of travel.
But concerns have been raised due to the misinterpretation of social cues or behaviours over video link, and how they could hinder the person streaming in rather than help them in trial.
