Violations Against Syrian Children Hit Rock Bottom
Earlier this week, UNICEF released a report on the drastic escalation of violence against Syrian children in 2016. The war entered its seventh year on Wednesday and 2016 has been the worst year yet for Syrian children. Looking at the stats, there was a 20% increase from 2015 in the number of children killed, with 652 children’s lives lost last year. 2.3 million children are now displaced as refugees across the Middle East. Will we ever see the end of the violence and destruction? 2ser was joined on the line by Dr Sara Davies, Associate Professor at Griffith University in the School of Government and International Relations, further discussing what the violations against children and the future of Syria.
