Violence Towards Robots
A video circulated online which showed a woman on a night out giving a punt kick to a robot on the streets of Brisbane. Some people who saw the video felt sorry for “Stampy” the robot dog, and the incident raised some thought-provoking questions surrounding human violence toward robots. So when is it okay and not okay to kick a robot dog? Robert Sparrow, Professor of Philosophy at Monash University wrote an article for The Conversation about this very topic and joined us to talk about it.
