Virginia Madsen on Experimental 80s Radio with 3600 Seconds

One of 2SER’s pioneering music programs, 3600 Seconds, was co-founded by Virginia Madsen, alongside John Potts (who started From Punk to Funk in 1980, now Back to Funk). Both are now acclaimed academics at Macquarie University in the Department of Media, Music, Communications and Cultural Studies. She was on Drive to chat more about 2SER’s early days. As Virginia recalls, the show was about genre-hopping and transcending beyond high and low art.
