The world of online dating is popular for finding that special person, but a recent study on online dating has shown that people can display signs of a ‘vulnerable narcissist.’ This is characterised by high emotional sensitivity. ‘Behind the mask’ refers to being inauthentic online, and actions such as Lovebombing can signify a vulnerable narcissist. We spoke to Dr Megan Willis, senior lecturer at the Australian Catholic University, School of Behavioural and health sciences.
