Was NACC the right fit to examine Robodebt?

Just over 12 months ago – the newly establish National Anti-Corruption Commission received referrals for six public officials from the Royal Commission into Robodebt – a scheme that wreaked havoc on thousands of lives across the country. But, in June, the year-old NACC announced it would not pursue The Royal Commission Robodebt referrals to it. Was the NACC the right fit to examine Robodebt? Could there be another option?
