Wattle Day – What is it?
Producer Felix Shannon came in to talk about what’s happening this Saturday, September the 1st. Wattle Day is a national day of Observance of the Wattle, our native, national Flower. From its origins way back 180 years ago to the ABC’s push to make it a national day in the 1980s, to the current push to have it replace January 26th as Australia’s national holiday, listen in to find out about this national celebration that sometimes goes forgotten.
