Album: Love + Pop, Current Joys

The new album by American Alt/Indie band Current Joys goes all out in a varied and surprising record. The project of solo musician Nick Rattigan is a DIY masterpiece even as each song only runs for about 2 minutes. But in those short tracks hides a plethora of music genres and styles; everything from indie rock to rap, noise pop and more is present on this album, which is all the more impressive seeing as Rattigan recorded everything in his home alone. Clocking in a runtime of 30 minutes Love + Pop is is sure-fire way to introduce yourself to the quirks and boundless creativity of Current Joys.
