Directed by Greta Gerwig (Ladybird, Little Women) and starring Margot Robbie in the title role, Barbie follows the adventures of the world’s most famous doll as she suddenly grapples with existential fears while living in the paradise of Barbieland. Determined to discover the source of her and Barbieland’s troubles, Barbie sets out with Ken (Ryan Gosling) into the “Real World”, where things are very different from their home. With beautiful and surreal imagery, featuring great performances and a plot that ties together social criticism, gender politics and fun, Barbie is a must watch film and one of the most anticipated of the year.

Album: In the Store, The Lost Days

The Lost Days are a gem and beautifully genuine in their debut project. The Lost Days are made of up duo Sarah Rose Janko and Tony Molina, who met at a funeral for a mutual friend. Each was a fan of the other’s work and in their shared grief, produced songs that would give a voice to their collective pain. Wrapping these sessions together into an album became the binding force that led to the birth of The Lost Days as a band. This album is only 13 minutes long, with the longest track, “In The Store”, clocking in at 2:27 mins. Citing The Byrds, Bill Fox and Guided by Voices as inspirations, In The Store is mesh of 60’s folk and pop instrumentation with melodies that you can’t get out of your head.

In The Store is out now on Bandcamp and Spotify.
