Film: Bottoms
This teen satirical comedy is a modern day high school laugh fest as we traverse the social life of Rockbridge Falls High School. Lesbian best friends PJ and Josie (Rachel Sennott & Ayo Edebiri) are at the bottom of the school’s hierarchy, but after a chance accident where they hit the captain of the football team with their car, an opportunity arises to change their reputations. Embracing a faux badass identity they start a self-defence class for women in their school and try to lose their virginities to their cheerleader crushes. Hilarious, meta and fun, Bottoms is a safe bet for a great night out at the cinema.

Album: For Who The Bells Tolls, Jonathan Rado
Jonathon Rado’s latest solo album continues his impressive trajectory as a producer and musician with a short and sweet record that doubles as a tribute to famous music producer Richard Swift. Rado’s work with his former indie rock duo Foxygen was built on 60’s and 70’s harmonies and groovy sounds and this record affirms his artistry within that scene. Between 7 songs and a 34 minute runtime, this record features big, bright and bold melodies with a 60’s orientated sound. Also taking inspiration from the work of by Brian Eno in the 1970’s works and Kanye West’s production stylings, For Who The Bell Tolls is an elaborate and pristine production on every front.
