Film: Evil Does Not Exist
Evil Does Not Exist (2023) is Ryusuke Hamaguchi’s latest release, following the Oscar nominated Drive My Car. Widower Takumi and his daughter Hana are confronted by real estate agents wanting to develop their home area, Mizubiki Village, into a glamping site. Strange things happen where nature seems to react to the developments with an eerie backlash.

Television: How To with John Wilson
Documentarian John Wilson attempts to give advice to his fellow New Yorkers whilst dealing with his own personal issues. Each episode is titled with “How To” and finishes with a range from mundane topics such as “Cook the Perfect Risotto” to something more existential like “Be Spontaneous”. Every topic follows paths that the audience may not be expecting through the unpredictable nature of talking to people he simply meets.
Season 3 is now available on Binge. Watch the trailer here.
Television: Killing It
Craig Robinson stars in Killing It as a bank’s security guard in Miami, who struggles against the world of class, capitalism, and the fallacy of the American Dream. Also, starring Australian actress Claudia O’Doherty, Robinson and O’Doherty’s characters encounter and embark on Miami state’s sponsored python hunting to make ends meet. Written by the people behind Brooklyn 99, Dan Goor and Luke Del Tredici.
Season 2 is available now on Stan and AppleTV+. Watch the trailer here.
Album: Bite Down, Rosali
Rosali Middleman, known by the mononym Rosali, is a musical artist from North Carolina. Bite Down is her fourth studio album, received by critics with raving reviews. It is a country-rock album that starts off low-key, then builds its way up to more rock-y songs. This ten-track album has a southern sound filled with Rosali’s amazing artistry on the guitar. If you’re a fan of the vocals of Aimee Mann, you’re sure to love Rosali’s new album.
