Kahlen asks permission from the Royal Danish Court to build a settlement on difficult land, and if he is successful, to receive a noble title with its associated privileges and a manor, to ensure his family will have an inheritance to live on. Rivalries with an ambitious neighbourhood and political turmoil in Denmark, The Promised Land is a historical epic not to be missed.

Album: As It Ever Was, So It Will Be Again, The Decemberists

The Decemberists are back with their first album in six years, and it was worth the wait. The veteran indie-folk rock band from Portland, Oregon has been performing since the year 2000, and has released nine albums in their tenure. Their latest work continues to showcase their fantastic live showmanship and front-man Colin Meloy skillfully weaves the band through folk troubadours, sea shanties and great lyrical journeys. With 13 tracks in total, As It Ever Was, So It Will Be Again is a solid addition to their repertoire that fans must check out, and if you’re new, a great place to jump into The Decemberist’s sound.

As It Ever Was, So It Will Be Again is out now on Bandcamp and Spotify.
