Weave Festival
This March, the Australian Museum is celebrating the strength and diversity of First Nations dance, art, storytelling and song at Weave.
The inaugural festival will celebrate both Aboriginal and Pacific Island cultures and features a stacked program including weaving workshops, Meet the Elders, VR experiences and centrepiece exhibition GADI.
Sophie spoke with Creative Producer Laura McBride about the event and shifting the dialogue of how we view artefacts and letting First Nations people tell the stories behind the objects instead.
