Balance Bike Clinics
When: Saturdays (from 3 February – 21 April) 11am to 3pm
Where: Sydney Park Cycling Centre, 410-416 Sydney Park Road Alexandria
Free balance bike clinics run from 11am to 3pm every Saturday. They also run Monday to Saturday during the school holidays. No need to book, just turn up and register with the instructors at the Sydney Park Cycling Centre. This is an interactive class designed to get parents involved in their children’s learning. Kids in Sydney can get outdoors and learn to ride at free bike clinics these summer school holidays.
Expert instructors will be on hand at Sydney Park Cycling Centre to help parents teach their kids to ride using balance bikes, which do not have pedals or training wheels. Balance bikes are designed to improve children’s balance and coordination as they use their feet to propel and stop themselves. Helmets and up to 20 balance bikes are provided at the Sydney Park Cycling Centre to help children aged 3 to 8 get rolling.
For older children, five kilometres of shared paths around the park provide a fun, traffic-free environment to explore on two wheels, with family-friendly BBQ facilities and picnic points along the way.
