In Washington mass protests flocked the streets in response to Donald Trump’s latest gun reforms, with 20 city blocks filled by demonstrators, reportedly surpassing those of the Vietnam War. The movement promises to spark an exciting week of American politics, in the preceding of the 19th anniversary of Columbine on the 20th of April.

The AFL women’s competitions reached its summit on the weekend, with the Western Bulldogs running out winners, whilst the GWS Giants and the Sydney Swans both collected important wins in the first round of the men’s competition.

Finally, Malcolm Turnbull’s coalition lost Newspoll number 29, in a weekend when Turnbull preferred discussing cricket over politics.
