Weekend Warrior w/ Anthony Dockrill 3rd June 2019
Anthony Dockrill has warriored his way through the weekend and is bringing us up to date with all things news:
This weekend was all about the Labor party, with new federal Labor leader Anthony Albanese announcing his ministry.
Not too many surprises, with Jim Chalmers replacing Chris Bowen as shadow treasurer, and Bowen moving to the health ministry.
Notably, Bill Shorten was included in the new ministry, in charge of the portfolio for the NDIS, and Kristina Keneally picked as shadow home affairs minister.
With all that’s happened in the last few months, the only message Tess and Anthony have for Labor is to #giveitago
In other news, the AFL splurged on a trip to China, jetting the St Kilda and Port Adelaide teams off over the weekend.
Despite claims the game was a ‘sell-out success’ visuals proved otherwise, picturing masses of empty seats and a very sad stadium.
Perhaps this is money that could be spent elsewhere? Like the cash-strapped Women’s league.
Tune in now to hear the full wrap-up.
