Western Sydney writers book launch

Second City is a collection of fifteen essays from Western Sydney writers diverse literary talents. The non-fiction collection that was published by the Sydney Review of Books last month is unique in its resistance against conformity and embrace of perspectives shaped by environments as well as diverse cultures and identities.

Focusing on the real and the imagined image of a place, the Western Sydney writers don’t shy away from topics of concerns or realities that so many people are living in, but instead let their literary creativity express their minds.

This morning award winner of the prime ministers literary award and one of the contributors of Second City joined us to chat about her sources of inspiration and contributions to the book, Felicity Castagna.
