Western Sydney Youth, Beyond Stereotypes
Walking down Rivoli Lane in Parramatta you will spot something new and bright, a mural with 7 young smiling faces of local women. The 24 metre long mural called ‘Beyond Stereotypes’ is sharing the voices of young Western Sydney locals and all the reasons that make them smile.
The new augmented reality mural has been created by Youth Action in partnership with Street Arts Murals Australia and City of Parramatta.
2SER Weekend Breakfast spoke with Krissy Stapleton the Western Sydney Project Coordinator of Youth Action to find out more about the creation of the mural.
The launch will be on Friday 12th of April at 5pm, at Rivioli Lane, Parramatta.
