What Is The Great Attractor?

The universe is full of mysteries but one that continues to puzzle astronomers is something called the Great Attractor. Around forty years ago, scientists discovered that our galaxy, the Milky Way, was moving through space at a much faster rate than expected, however the cause of this movement is still being questioned. The common idea is that we are being pulled towards a massive gravitational anomaly, known as the Great Attractor, and we were joined with Lister Staveley-Smith, Science Director at the International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research (ICRAR) at the University of Western Australia, to learn more about this mysterious entity.
