There are different ways that law enforcement has used to control protests and riots through the use of chemical irritants and pepper spray is one notable example. In recent weeks governments around the world have used chemical agents to control Black Lives Matter protests especially in Washington DC in the United States and in Sydney twice in the past week. But what are the properties of pepper spray that make it intense on protestors?.
