The Bushfires, criticism of the government’s handling of climate change, doubts about the economy’s prospects, the fact that the projected $5 billion budget surplus could disappear altogether, the Wuhan coronavirus, the sport rorts… in other words, the summer of horror. With the 2020 parliamentary sittings beginning this week, the Morrision government is set for a wave of trouble. To talk to us about the challenges that faces our government in 2020 we had political scientist, Professor Clive Bean from the Queensland University of Technology.
