5% cut for 500 Nuisance tariffs
The Albanese Government announced on Monday this week that they will abolish almost 500 nuisance tariffs from July 1st this year.
Some of the products included in the cut are: washing machines, fridge-freezers, protective footwear, toothbrushes, menstrual and sanitary products, x-ray film, fishing reels and toasters.
According to the Australian Government, removing these tariffs will save businesses over $30 million in compliance costs each year.
