Why Do We Swear?
Swearing is more and more becoming an accepted part of Australian society. Profanities are used in many different circumstances for a variety of purposes. But why exactly do we swear and have we always been swearing? Where did it all begin? Today on the Daily we were joined live in the studio by Dr Nick Wilson Lecturer in the Department of Linguistics who provided insight into swearing, the history of swearing and why exactly we do swear.
