The “Wilful and Negligent” Demolition of Hensley Hall Facade

The City of Sydney has confirmed that the Hensley Hall building, a historic facade in Potts Point, had been demolished for property business. This multi-million project was being investigated by The City of Sydney due to an unauthorised removal and the historical impact of the work. The facade formerly operated as a private hotel and boarding house sparking comments from a former caretaker who has labelled the development as “wilful, negligent and/or deliberate”.
Professor Peter Phibbs, The Head of Urban and Regional Planning and Policy, from the University of Sydney joined The Daily to speak on the larger effect of this issue.
