Will robots become so advanced that they’ll leave humans unemployed?

A NSW government study recently predicted more than half of all jobs are under threat of being taken over by machines, with accountants, clerks, bank workers, secretaries and butchers, among those most at risk of being replaced by computerisation.

But how likely is it that an employer chooses a machine over a human worker?

We were joined by Toby Walsh, professor of AI from Data 61 at the University of New South Wales to find out more.
