Winter Solstice Celebration

It’s that time of the year again, when the winter solstice makes it presence felt and the cycles of nature once again, realign themselves with the rhythms of the sun. The winter solstice is also known as midwinter, a time for embedded in myth, folklore and traditions, where humans throughout the ages have marked the occasion with festivals and rituals. In the studio we have Rache Moore, founder of the rainbow tribe in Sydney, a group of individuals facilitating gatherings in order to reconnect with nature’s rhythms in order to enrich our personal and communal lives.  Jess spoke with Rache Moore about the nature of the winter solstice and its cultural roots.
