Women More Prone to Anxiety
In Australia alone 1 in 3 women will experience some level of anxiety at some point during their lives, compared to 1 in 5 men. So why does anxiety affects women so much more commonly than men? Or are there flaws with the numbers? According to clinical psychologist Charlotte Keating, “Women are more biologically prone to anxiety than men,” Dr Keating explains, but why is this? We spoke to Olivia Willies – journalist and radio producer for ABC Science and Health.
