Preparing to give birth can be an anxious time, especially for new mums. Aside from preparing for a new little one, there is now more choice than ever about where you choose to have your child. Birth centres and home births are becoming increasingly popular options over traditional hospital births. However, the concern is usually around the safety of these options.  Caroline Homer,  a Visiting Professor of Midwifery at UTS and co-program director at the Burnet Institute who has conducted research in this area for over 12 years, spoke with Jess about these options.
