Women Receive Poorer Care Than Men After Having A Heart Attack

New research published today shows that women who have heart attacks receive poorer care than men. Females are less likely to be prescribed medications or referred for cardiac rehabilitation – important aspects of aftercare for those who’ve had a heart attack.

Professor Clara Chow from the University of Sydney, one of the authors of the article, joined us on The Daily to discuss why women receive lesser care.
