The Festival of Dangerous Ideas (FODI) is Australia’s original disruptive festival.

FODI holds uncomfortable ideas up to the light and challenges thinking on some of the most persevering and difficult issues of our time, questioning our deepest held beliefs and desires.

In a powerful keynote address, Words Are Weapons, Noongar woman and author Claire G. Coleman will lay out the full story of Australian colonisation, a story that is ongoing, and invite audiences to consider that Australia has been defined by a story that was never built on truth.
