World Cancer Day
Last month we mourned the loss of two high profile artists to cancer. Worldwide, 8.2 million people die from cancer each year and almost all of us have been touched by it in some way or another.
Today is World Cancer Day, where we try to raise awareness and bring support to those who are affected.
Among the organisations involved with the worldwide event is Australia’s Cancer Council. They’ve predicted that 45 000 people will be diagnosed by cancer this year in NSW alone.
The CEO of the Cancer Council, Professor Sanchia Aranda, joined Mick to discuss what we can do to raise awareness today.
