World Day For Animals in Laboratories
Today, Wednesday the 24th of April is World Day for Animals in Laboratories. At last count, more than 12 million of these animals have been used in experiments in a single year. Many of these animals spend their lives in windowless rooms or barren cages with little opportunity to exhibit natural behaviour.
This morning on The Daily we were joined by Emily Rice from PETA Australia to talk to us about the cruel realities that animals face who are used and abused in laboratories around the nation and how World Day For Animals in Laboratories aims to fight the injustices that our furry friends are facing.
