World Suicide Prevention Day & ‘Out Of The Shadows’
The World Health Organisation estimates that over 800,000 people take their own lives each year. This Tuesday, 10th September, is World Suicide Prevention Day, and Lifeline is organising ‘Out of the Shadows’ walks to remember those lost to suicide, and unite in a commitment to prevent further deaths in this tragic way. We were joined by Robert Sams, Executive Director of Lifeline Direct, to discuss suicide prevention in Sydney, and the upcoming walks happening around Australia this week.
