Zamrock Makes its Australian Debut

The only surviving member of Zamrock pioneers W.I.T.C.H. (We Intend To Cause Havoc) Emanuel “Jagari” Chanda joined New Fangled host Oscar to chat about the groups first record in 39 years ‘Zanda’ and their upcoming debut Australian performance.

Jagari sheds light on the transformative power of collaboration, sharing how working with fellow Zambian artist Sampa The Great enlightened him to the significance of embracing musical diversity. Through their partnership, he discovered the profound beauty of hip hop and its ability to enrich the landscape of Zamrock.

The pair also delve into the profound impact of W.I.T.C.H.’s resurgence, revealing how it has breathed new life into Jagari’s spirit. After nearly losing hope of ever gracing the stage again, the revival of the band’s music has reignited his passion for live performances, infusing him with a renewed sense of purpose and vitality.
