Brett Weymark OAM
For the last 20 years, Brett Weymark OAM has been at the forefront of Australian choral conducting as the Artistic and Musical Director of Sydney Philharmonia Choirs. In 2006 he founded ChorusOz, which gives members of the public with a penchant for singing an opportunity to perform in a choir on the mainstage of the Sydney Opera House. He is an advocate for the mental health benefits of choral singing, and he is a walking encyclopaedia of classical music knowledge. I was privileged enough to talk to Brett about his role in the Australian music scene for the past two decades.
