Coming up on 2ser’s Curved Radio this weekend with Gayle Austin & the Curvy crew, we catch up again with singer/songwriter Angus Powell who’ll be beaming in from the UK. We’ve been following Angus’ recording career here on the Curve for the past 7 years or so and he joins us this weekend to talk about songwriting, what he’s been up to, his forthcoming releases and also share a very special acoustic version of his new single, ‘Holding Up the Heavy’ which he’s recorded for us.
mr.K drops in to share some recent releases that have crossed his path from Sydney’s The Aerial Maps, Brisbane’s Ghostwoods and from the UK, a gorgeous track from the recent Anni Hogan release, Lost in Blue which features Wolfgang Flur (ex Kraftwerk) on vocals. mr.K will also have a chat with Gayle about one of his recent faves, the fabulous Beverly Glenn-Copeland and catch up about the recent documentary about this artist called ‘Keyboard Fantasies’ – a film by Posy Dixon, that has been playing festivals around the curvy sphere.
