Food for thought: Clyde’s at Ensemble Theatre
Dishing up some food-for-thought, the theatre production Clyde’s has finally hit the Australian stage, bringing the Tony Award nominated Broadway comedy to our shores.
It’s about Clyde’s truck stop diner and the formerly incarcerated kitchen staff that work there. Fresh out of options, with nowhere else to turn to, Clyde’s staff are on a mission to reinvent the perfect sandwich… and their lives.
Written by two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Lyne Nottage, and directed by Darren Yap, Clyde’s is now playing at Ensemble Theatre till the 10th June 2023. Cast member Gabriel Alvarado joined Danny Chifley on 2ser Breakfast, talking about the show, food, and the perfect sandwich.
