What Are You Dying To Know About Death?

Launched in 2013 by social change advocates The GroundSwell Project, Dying To Know Day (August 8th) marks an annual “day of action”, serving to kick-start conversations around death, dying and bereavement  subjects that Australians tend to avoid.

With 75% of Aussies acknowledging they haven’t had end of life discussions, D2KDay encourages and empowers individuals to engage in vital dialogue, from advanced care plans to end of life options. The initiative aims to develop death literacy, prompting Aussies to strengthen support networks between family and friends.

Kerrie Noonan, director of The GroundSwell project, spoke with Nic about the importance of communities in changing the culture of conversation around death, and how we can get involved.
