Business Events Sydney have inducted new Ambassadors from many fields to promote business for Sydney and Australia at an event address by the Rt Hon John Howard.
A NSW government initiative, Premier Mike Baird is the new patron, and Roderick Chambers spoke with Professor Ken Maher, an architect with Hassell, who has been behind the new ICC Sydney Convention and Entertainment precinct in Darling Harbour.
His next project is the old Westpac building opposite the Reserve Bank, which will also display his theme of connectedness with locality, and absorb fundamental elements of the adjacent buildings to reinterpret the premier formal Sydney location at the head of Martin Place.
As the President Elect of the Australian Institute of Architects he looks forward to promoting and connecting people in Australia and internationally with the Sydney Ambassador program.
