Are Airlines Doing Enough to Act on Climate Change
In recent times, several of the world’s major airlines have announced that they plan on becoming more ‘carbon neutral’. Some have even been trialling new aviation fuels. But, are any of these initiatives making much of a difference? And are some airlines better to fly with than others for travellers who care about reducing their carbon footprint? To answer these questions and more we had Senior Lecturer, Dr Jonathan Symons from Macquarie University, who among many interests, specialises in the ethics of climate change and energy security.
