Australian Frogs Survived Black Summer Bushfire
The black summer bushfires had a devastating impact on Australian wildlife but how did Aussie frogs fare?
Frogs are one of the most threatened animals and there is currently a lack of knowledge on how the bushfires will impact them.
Research by Australian Museum and the University of NSW found that “all families of Australian frogs present in the area were detected postfire” but there is still more research needed.
The Daily spoke with Dr Jodi Rowley, lead author of the paper and Chief Scientist of FrogID.
