For children with autism and their parents, there’s a real lack of resources when it comes to aquatic education. And the consequences are tragic – drowning is the leading cause of death for children with autism. Fortunately, Autism Swim is lobbying Government to support specialised teacher training. They have also produced an education toolkit for parents trying to teach their kids this vital skill.
