Bad Sport: Are Australians Sore Losers?
Australia’s results at the Summer Olympics this year drew disappointment from many fans, who felt that Australia only picking up eight gold medals and 29 overall was below standard. While Rio was Australia’s lowest medal tally since the Barcelona Olympics in 1992, the negative response from critics, fans and fellow sportsman has brought the ideology of Sport within Australian in question.
