Going To A Cheese Festival As Somebody Who Doesn’t Like Cheese
In 2023 I was formally invited to the Bon Fromage Cheese Festival launch as the station “foodie”. While I was there I learnt a lot about cheese, and specifically, how cheese is aged in caves to make it taste better. I thought that this experience would open my mouth to flavours it had previously not enjoyed at all, but I was sadly mistaken. Cheese, while being slightly more appealing, was still nowhere near my favourite food. And so, after pleading on the radio for a few weeks to be able to go again, I received another invitation to the Bon Fromage Cheese Festival 2024. And this is my report.
The festival was a lot of fun, partially because of the scenic views and free food, but more so because of the people, as is always the case. People like Aurore, Marion, and Roman who spoke to me about their passion for cheese made this visit all the more special, and I already have my eyes set on 2025 if for no other reason than to catch up with them again. Until next time, take it cheesey.
