She-Hulk. Doctor Strange. Batman. Spider-Man. It seems everywhere we turn these days comic book characters are leaping from the page to the screen. But we don’t often hear about those in the comic book world who exist more on the margins of society, especially those from Australia. But the Brazen Comics Festival this weekend aims to change that, by amplifying, highlighting and celebrating the voices of of women, non-binary and gender diverse comic book book creators and fans. We were joined by self-proclaimed comic book Evangelist and owner of Cockatoo Comics, Siobhan Coombs to discuss the festival she has helped swing into action. Brazen Comics Festival is on 22nd May 2022 @ East Sydney Community and Arts Centre in Darlinghurst.
